mommy dearest

So much for keeping up this blog huh? I have a good excuse though. Her name is Kayden and she takes up lots all of my time as you can imagine. So for the one or two people who read this please forgive me. Anywhoooooooo I've been thinking about this a lot lately and I've come to the conclusion that I'm not Jeanette anymore. I am MOM. I know, I know, it's only been 5 months and that isn't very long compared to lots of other moms but sometimes I feel like I'm slowly losing myself into momhood. Don't get me wrong I really love it but sometimes I catch myself busting out a slightly scandalous dance move and the only one around is Kayden, looking at me with those big brown eyes like I'm some sort of crazy. But it's ok she love me anyways. And that, ladies and gentlemen is what makes being just "mom" all worth it! Like when she wakes up in the morning before I want to get up and she just lays in her crib talking to herself until I scrap myself off my bed to go get her. As soon as I walk into her room, singing this weird silly song that I do every morning she gets the biggest smile ever on her face and she gets all excited to see me. That is the most precious moment that I get every day. I believe that makes me the luckiest girl in the world.

As for right now, "mom" is done for the day since K Bug is fast asleep and it's time for "Jeanette" to come out for a couple hours. I think I'm going to spend it watching trashy Jersey Shore. Truely one of the best reality tv shows that probably most likely makes you dumber every minute you watch it. And I love every minute of it. And just to prove it I'll Jersey Turnpike Jace when he gets home from school!!!

Wooo 2 blogs in 2 days, what is going on? I feel like such a mom now :) ok here it is awkward/awesome Monday! I'll keep it short since I "Wasted my time blogging" yesterday as my dear hubby would say.

  • I've stopped pumping and now I leak, ALL THE TIME.
  • Jace and his friends waking up early on their day off to play Axis and Allies. Jace was so excited that the night before he stayed up late trying to teach his sister to play so he can play more often. It's try my husband is an ultimate nerd.
Awesome
  • Jace and I went on a REAL DATE! There was no baby and I felt so young and free. Let me emphasize it was a real date and it was awesome!!
  • Kayden is no longer sick, we kicked that cold right in its snotty face and it shant be bothering us again.
  • There are so many pregnant girls in my ward right now. I just loved being pregnant and seeing other pregnant woman make me so happy. All I wanna do is rub their bellies and hear every  boring exciting detail of each little kick.
  • Mall dates with Julie and Val

Sunday Sunday

Happy Sunday and Happy LONG WEEKEND!! nothing and I mean nothing in this world beats a long weekend! There is no school and therefore Jace is forced to be all mine, with no homework for at least one full day :) That day was yesterday and it was a tiny large slice of heaven. Jace has been at school lots working on papers, which he procrastinates even though he doesn't call it that and midterms. I have felt like a single mom and all I can say is I have a new and profound respect for single moms everywhere. Congrats ladies, you are all heros in my eyes!!! Anyways I'm just grateful Jace got up with Kayden this morning, bless his heart and there is no school tomorrow.

PS if you are looking for a movie to go to I would suggest Here Comes the Boom, warms your heart and is only rated PG, who knew they even made grown up movies with that rating still.

Awkward/Awesome Monday

So it's awkward/awesome Monday! My way of reviewing the previous week and getting ready to start the next. So here we go....

Awkward
  • Walking around the mall with a sleeping four month old dressed as a zebra on Halloween, hoping the store owners would a.) ignore the fact that that there baby zebra only drinks milk or b.) feel sorry for the crazy haired mom who thought she could take her baby trick or treating and just give me some candy. To the 3 who did you are either foolish or very sympthatic either way thank you
  • Jace leaving the room for 15 minutes only to come in and ask where 3 donuts went.... I'm not sure but I have an idea...
  • Dancing wildly in my living room for Kayden (She likes a good booty shake from her mamma) only to realize the blinds are up and people are standing in front of the window watching.
  •  You know when you are making funny noises and faces for your baby to impress others with her insanely cute laugh, I was doing that until she sneezed so hard on my face water was visible.
  • Telling Jace I was so bored one night I watched stuff about the elections
Awesome
  • Kayden's first Halloween! I bought her costume when she was a month old in anticipation for this day and it was better than my wildest dreams!
  • I got a new phone! No more living in the days of pink sliding phone, I am now the proud owner of a smart phone :)
  • I made sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. It was a Pinterest win! http://life-as-a-lofthouse.blogspot.ca/2010/09/baked-sweet-and-sour-chicken-with-fried.html It was soooooooooo easy and Jace thought I was Chinese Food Goddess! NBD :D
  • Jace's cousin Marcus bought Kayden a Jolly Jumper/Exersaucer Safari style and she is absolutely in love with it and the noises it makes. We think Marcus is pretty awesome and apparently he can cook and ladies he is not married so get to him while you can, he's a slice of tall, dark and handsome.

I'm a little alot obsessed with this little lady but seriously how can you not be?!

That first picture

Since I suck at writing in a journal I figured this might as well be how I remember some things in life. Today my baby turned 4 months! All I can think is where was I for the first 2-3 months of her life? No way she was that small, clearly she came out the size she is now right? So once I had her all put to bed and realized I had nothing else to do but sit on my butt and once again look at all the pictures of my darling Kayden. This lead  to me thinking I wish I had that first picture with her and looked good. You know those moms who just had their babies and they look like they have been to the spa? Hair is perfect, they have makeup on and not a drop of sweat. Everyone comments that they "can't believe you just had a baby, you look so good!" That was my goal. I even brought some make up to the hospital with me, knowing my hair would be a lost cause anyways and I would inspire those adoring words. Well all I can say is nobody will ever say that about my first picture. After 38 hours of lovely back labour, countless showers and a surprise c-section I looked more than tired. And yes world, I did just have a baby and I know I look like it. But that's ok I got the best baby ever out of it!

Now you'll rarely see a picture of me after this because Kayden is so much cuter and lets face it she is basically my entire life and I LOVE THAT!! So here is a couple pictures of my baby girl :)
Daddy loves his baby girl more than anything!

see this, I don't remember it! Where was I??
Yes, I know she is super cute!

Sometimes they play Halo

Bry and baby Isaac. I love him so much!

She puts up with me and my kisses

Kayden's best friend is Val. They don't really care for each other yet.

Well, this was a lot for one night and bed is calling me. Good night, mainly to Heidi as I'm sure you're the only one reading!
